About Me
Hi! My name is Grace Hensley, and I am a junior at Butler University. I am pursuing a major in Marketing through the Lacy School of Business and a minor in Strategic Communications through the College of Communication.
At Butler, I am a member of the Women's Lacrosse Team. I am a Photo Co-Editor for the school newspaper, the Butler Collegian. I am a leader of the organization Athletes in Action, a bible study for Christian athletes. I am an Interfaith scholar on campus. I am in the process of writing my thesis as a member of the Honors College.
I am very passionate about all things photography, videography, and media-related. I share my work on Instagram @gracehmedia.
Before Butler
From K-12, I attended the Ladue School District. In high school, I was on the Executive Board for Dance Marathon, I held a leadership role for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and I was class President my junior and senior years. Additionally, I was the Managing Photo Editor for my high school's newspaper, The Panorama. I was a member of National Honor Society as well as Mu Alpha Theta - Math Honor Society.
Upon graduating in May of 2021, I received the Dad's Club Scholarship from an anonymous vote by staff at my high school. This scholarship is only awarded to two students of each graduating class. I received the Washington Carver Award which recognizes the top 10% of the graduating class.
Outside of the school building, I was a member of varsity cross country and varsity lacrosse all four years of high school. I was captain for both teams my junior and senior years. I also played varsity and junior varsity basketball my freshman and sophomore years. As a sophomore, I was captain for JV basketball.
Outside of all school activities, my mom and I were apart of National Charity League. NCL is an organization where mother and daughters can volunteer at local institutions in the area. Through NCL, I was able to create social media posts for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). I volunteered with various organizations such as KidSmart, St. Patrick's Center, the International Institute, etc.
